Chulapo

Chulapo arrived at the sanctuary in 2016. He lived with his mother, Lucía, at a farm school in Murcia. When the school closed, the owner began giving the animals away, and anyone he couldn’t rehome was destined for slaughter. A neighbour rescued them, and when we heard their story, we decided to take care of both the mother and baby: Chulapo was not yet a year old.

They are dwarf goats, and although they are smaller than the rest of our family, they manage perfectly well and settled in from the start. One thing is certain—mother and son are inseparable: wherever Mum goes, Chulapo is always right by her side.
