Pesadita
At the sanctuary since 2015
Pesadita, along with 14 little female goats and 1 male, was the reason the sanctuary was founded in 2015. We took them in because their previous owner, a goat herder with a large flock, sold it, and these little goats, which weren’t productive, were going to be sent to the slaughterhouse.
Like some of the little female goats that arrived at that time, she was pregnant, and soon after her daughters, Roberta and Calcetines, were born at the sanctuary. The three of them have lived together ever since. Pesadita is a very strong and healthy goat, and immensely affectionate: that’s why we gave her this name, because whenever the carers are near she comes over wanting us to talk to her and stroke her.
